13-Year-Old Boy Critically Wounded in Joliet Shooting

JOLIET, Illinois – A 13-year-old boy is fighting for his life after being shot in the shoulder Monday afternoon inside a home on Market Street in southwest suburban Joliet.

The incident occurred just before 5:00 p.m. According to officials, the teenager sustained life-threatening injuries and was initially transported to St. Joseph Medical Center. He was subsequently airlifted to Loyola Medical Center in Maywood for advanced trauma care.
