Three Wounded in Downtown New Braunfels Shooting; Suspect in Custody

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – A late-night shooting in downtown New Braunfels left three people injured and ended with a suspect in custody.

The incident occurred just before 1:00 a.m. When officers arrived on scene, they found two men and a woman suffering from gunshot wounds.

According to police, the suspect had been involved in an earlier altercation with the two men. He then returned and opened fire from a vehicle. Investigators stated that the woman is believed to have been an unintended target.

The suspect later turned himself in, authorities confirmed. He now faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

All three victims are expected to recover from their injuries.
