Man Critical After Stabbing Attack by Trio at Downtown Bus Stop

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – A man is fighting for his life following a brutal stabbing attack early this morning at a downtown bus stop, according to police.

The incident occurred in the 200 block of West Commerce Street just after 12:30 a.m. Investigators say the victim was waiting at the bus stop when three male suspects walked up and attacked him. During the altercation, the victim was stabbed several times.

Police say the victim was rushed to a hospital in critical condition, where he remains. Authorities believe the suspects were attempting to rob the victim, though no items have been confirmed taken at this time.

A search remains underway for the three suspects. No descriptions have been released at this stage of the investigation.
