Man Charged with Attempted Murder After Stabbing Outside Loop Walgreens

CHICAGO, Illinois — A person has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing that seriously injured another individual during a fight outside a Walgreens in The Loop.

The suspect faces the charge after Chicago Police say they stabbed a 25-year-old person in the back Thursday night near the Walgreens at State and Randolph streets. The victim was left in serious condition.

Police reported that the two individuals got into a fight outside the store before the stabbing occurred. The suspect was expected to appear in court on Friday.

The incident remains under investigation.
