Man Charged with Aggravated Assault After Random Stabbing at Decatur Restaurant

DeKalb County police have charged a 22-year-old man with aggravated assault after authorities say he randomly stabbed a woman while she was eating at a restaurant in Decatur.

The incident occurred yesterday at the First Watch restaurant on Blackman Drive. The suspect faces charges following the attack.

According to police, the victim was stabbed in the back by the suspect while she was dining and did not know her attacker. She ran to get help after the assault. The woman is expected to survive her injuries.

The man has been charged in connection with the random attack.
