Armed Man Hangs from Window During Richland Hills Standoff; Now in Custody

RICHLAND HILLS, Texas – A man who appeared to be armed and was seen hanging out of a home’s window has been taken into custody following a heavy police presence that led to street closures in a Richland Hills neighborhood.

Authorities confirmed that the incident unfolded on Dogwood Park Drive. Video from a news helicopter showed a blue home where the individual was observed leaning out of a window while seemingly holding a gun.

According to police officials, the man was taken into custody without further incident following the tense situation. Officers on the scene have since begun reopening streets in the area that were previously closed due to the active police activity.
