17-Year-Old Arrested After East Troy Stabbing; Armed Standoff at Hartford Farm

Hartford, Wisconsin – Law enforcement secured a large-scale perimeter around a farm in the town of Hartford on Wednesday after an armed man parked his RV next to a home where a woman sheltered in place, according to deputies.

In East Troy, police arrested 17-year-old Solomon Hayes after a woman called 911 Wednesday night screaming that a man with a knife was chasing her and her husband at a home near Main and West Streets.

Police say the boy stabbed the man in the head. Overnight, authorities arrested Hayes in Illinois after investigators determined he stole a vehicle. Police have not confirmed any connection between Hayes and the victims, if any.

The developments come as police continue to investigate both situations.
