Man Dead After Late-Night Shooting in Southwest Atlanta

ATLANTA, Georgia — A man is dead following a late-night shooting in southwest Atlanta, authorities said.

Officers from the Atlanta Police Department’s Zone 4 responded to a report of a person shot at 822 White Street shortly before 1 a.m. on Saturday.

According to police, the call came in around 12:50 a.m. regarding someone shot on White Street Southwest. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man suffering from multiple apparent gunshot wounds.

Medics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

Homicide detectives have launched an investigation into the incident. Officials stated that the case remains ongoing. No further details about the victim or any potential suspects have been released at this time.
