Cooking Error Likely Cause of Lincoln House Fire; One Hospitalized

LINCOLN, Maine – An early morning fire on Lee Road in Lincoln sent one person to the hospital with burn injuries, marking the 14th residential building fire in the city so far in 2026.

First responders were called to the scene around 2:45 a.m. When crews arrived, all occupants were already out of the building. One person who escaped the flames was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The state fire marshal said the fire was likely caused by a cooking error.

Authorities have not released the identity of the injured individual. The incident remains under investigation.
