Woman Charged with Murder in Fatal Shooting of Downstairs Neighbor

MARIETTA, Georgia – A woman is facing murder charges after police say she fatally shot her downstairs neighbor.

The incident occurred yesterday afternoon, according to Marietta police. Officers arriving at the scene discovered a 62-year-old victim shot in the hallway. The victim was pronounced deceased at the location.

Authorities have since charged a 61-year-old woman in connection with the shooting. The suspect is now facing charges of murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

The suspect is currently being held without bond at the Cobb County Detention Center.
