Volunteers Build Nine Mobility Trainers for Toddlers with Disabilities on Long Island

A group of volunteers gathered on Long Island Sunday to assemble nine toddler mobility trainers at the Hampton Synagogue in Westhampton.

The devices are specially designed to help children with disabilities get around. The effort is part of a new initiative aimed at building 250 mobility trainers for young children in need.

The synagogue hosted the build event as volunteers worked together to complete the nine units, which are intended to provide greater independence and movement for toddlers with limited mobility.

Organizers described the trainers as a vital resource for families, offering young children the chance to explore their environment more freely. The initiative continues to gain traction, with additional build events planned to reach the 250-unit goal.
