U.S. Military Completes New Wave of Strikes on IRGC Targets in Iran

WASHINGTON — The U.S. military has completed a new wave of strikes on IRGC targets in Iran, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced Tuesday, signaling a renewed operational push in the Middle East following a period of relative calm.

According to a statement from U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), American forces successfully executed the coordinated strikes on September 1. The targeted locations included Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) air defense sites, radar systems, maritime assets and facilities, mine-laying capabilities, and communications sites.

Military officials noted that these operations were a direct response to recent attempted attacks by the IRGC against commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, as well as actions directed against American service members in the region.

To underscore the scope of the operations, official military channels released video footage showcasing an array of fighter aircraft and various deployments originating from naval ships, reflecting the assets utilized in the recent campaign.

The strikes mark a notable shift after the conflict experienced a lull for several weeks. In recent days, kinetic action has visibly escalated from both American and Iranian sides. Iranian forces have recently engaged American targets in neighboring countries, including reported strikes directed toward Jordan over the weekend.

Despite the escalating exchanges, U.S. military leadership emphasized readiness. More than 50,000 U.S. service members are currently operating across the Middle East. According to CENTCOM, these forces remain vigilant, lethal, and fully prepared to continue executing operations as directed by the Commander in Chief.

As diplomatic and military tensions persist, the back-and-forth engagements between the United States and Iran continue to shape the security landscape moving into Tuesday.
