Two Arrested in New Braunfels After Assault on Texas State Trooper

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas — Authorities arrested two suspects following an assault on a Texas state trooper, with a manhunt for the second suspect extending into Saturday morning.

According to the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office, one suspect was taken into custody shortly after the incident, while the second remained at large for several hours. The Sheriff’s Office issued a public alert urging residents to remain vigilant.

The suspects fled on foot from the scene near South Walnut and Divine Way, an area close to New Braunfels Middle School. Deputies confirmed one man was already in custody as the search continued for the second.

The remaining suspect was described as wearing all black, possibly with a bloody face after being tased, and potentially missing a shoe. Residents were advised not to approach the individual if seen and to immediately call 911 or contact the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office.
