Three Killed, One Injured in West Dallas Short-Term Rental Shooting

Dallas, Texas — A shooting at a residential short-term rental property in West Dallas overnight during a holiday weekend party left three people dead and one hospitalized, according to the Dallas Police Department.

Authorities responded to a residence in the 3700 block of a West Dallas street, where they discovered four individuals who had been shot by an unknown suspect. Two victims were pronounced dead at the scene, while a third later died at a local hospital. A fourth person remains hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Dallas Police Department spokespersons stated that preliminary investigation indicates the violence occurred during a large gathering at a house booked through a short-term rental platform. Among those killed were two young women; investigators have not yet determined whether they were specifically targeted. The identity of the third deceased victim has not been released, and authorities have withheld details regarding the surviving victim.

Visible gunshot markings were observed on a garage entrance door at the property. Law enforcement continues to process the scene and is actively seeking information from the public to identify those responsible.

Longtime area resident and Pastor who visited the scene, described the incident as senseless. “What’s happening now is just a travesty,” he said. “All kinds of unnecessary, unwanted, unwarranted violence, death, guns. And when we hear about it, a lot of times it’s too late.”

Police emphasize that the investigation remains active and urge anyone with information about the shooting to contact authorities. No arrests have been made at this time.
