In a recent televised interview, retired U.S. Navy SEAL Mike Sarraille praised the technological prowess of the American military following an unmanned drone rescue operation while sharply criticizing certain media outlets for their coverage of U.S. actions regarding Iran.
Sarraille, host of “The Unsung of Arlington” on Fox Nation, highlighted the successful deployment of an autonomous subsurface drone to rescue two pilots, calling it a testament to U.S. defense capabilities and strategic partnerships with technology companies. “If I was one of those two pilots, sitting in the water to see an autonomous subsurface drone surface and rescue us… they must have been thinking, this is the U.S. military,” Sarraille stated. He expressed pride in both the rescued personnel and the drone operators who redirected assets to save them.
Turning to media coverage, Sarraille directed strong criticism at what he termed “left-wing” and “legacy media” outlets. He argued that characterizing ongoing operations as a “quagmire” or suggesting the U.S. lacks leverage over Iran provides “ammunition to Iran” and misrepresents American resolve. “For the American people to put that out in the media, it is just shameful,” Sarraille said. While affirming the importance of debate before decisions are made, he emphasized that “once that decision is made by the President of the United States, it is our job as American citizens to get behind him.”
Regarding potential future actions, Sarraille outlined two military scenarios he considers most plausible. The more likely path, he suggested, would involve targeted strikes against Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy assets—including radar, satellite systems, anti-missile batteries, and the so-called “mosquito fleet”—with the Strait of Hormuz as the strategic center of gravity. A less likely but possible scenario, he noted, could involve coordinated action with Israel in an intensive 10-to-14-day campaign aimed at degrading Iranian capabilities while U.S. forces ensure the Strait of Hormuz remains open.
Sarraille expressed alignment with the perspective of General Jack Keane, whom he described as a trusted mentor and patriot with deep experience on the issue. He affirmed confidence in presidential decision-making based on current intelligence, stating, “He’s closest to the problem and has the most updated intel and making decisions for a reason and we trust him.”
Throughout the discussion, Sarraille framed the broader objective as one of promoting freedom and stability. “It’s about freedom and it’s about liberating the whole Middle East from the tyranny of this gruesome regime and we should support him on this,” he concluded.
