Milwaukee Police Seek Hit-and-Run Driver After 71-Year-Old Killed Near 43rd and Silver Spring

Milwaukee, Wisconsin – The Milwaukee Police Department is searching for a suspect’s vehicle wanted in connection with a deadly hit-and-run that occurred Monday around 9 p.m. near 43rd Street and Silver Spring Drive, just east of McGovern Park.

Authorities have obtained surveillance video from a nearby business that captures the entire incident. In the footage, a 71-year-old victim is seen crossing Silver Spring Drive. Moments later, a vehicle enters the intersection and strikes the victim. After impact, the driver continues without stopping.

Police have paused the video just before the moment of impact in their public appeal. Investigators have not yet released a description of the car or the driver.

Officers blocked off the street and a bus stop with yellow tape overnight as they processed the scene. The Milwaukee Police Department has not made an arrest.
