Man Found Dead From Gunshot Wound in Northwest San Antonio; Investigation Ongoing

San Antonio, Texas — A man died early Saturday morning after being discovered with a gunshot wound on San Antonio’s northwest side, according to law enforcement officials.

A SAPD spokesperson confirmed that officers responded to a call for an injured person in the 2100 block of Vance Jackson Road just before 1 a.m. Upon arrival, emergency medical services began treating the victim, during which time responders discovered he had sustained a gunshot wound. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say they are actively working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. A SAPD spokesperson noted that authorities are examining whether this incident may be connected to a separate report of a shooting approximately one block away.
