Milwaukee Police Investigate Fatal Early-Morning Double Shooting

MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin — Authorities are investigating a deadly double shooting that occurred in the early hours of the morning near 38th and Congress streets, leaving one person dead and another hospitalized.

According to Milwaukee Police Department spokespersons, officers responded to a residential home just after 3:00 a.m. following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they discovered two victims with gunshot wounds.

A 38-year-old individual was pronounced dead at the scene, spokespersons confirmed. A second victim, age 40, was transported to a local hospital for treatment and is expected to recover.

At this time, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation. Police spokespersons stated that it is unclear what led to the shooting, and no arrests have been made. Authorities continue to gather evidence and interview witnesses as part of the ongoing probe.
